JAN 30, 2004 (newstodate): From April 1, Scandinavian budget airline, Sterling plans to add a new route between Copenhagen and Prague.
The start-up date still hinges on an early decision on traffic rights. If these are not forthcoming to warrant the early start, the route will be launched from May 2 - the after the Czech Republic's entry into the EU, which will implement the liberalisation of the country's civil aviation.
In the latter case, Sterling will be outperformed by new Czech airline, Smart Wings that plans to start operations between Prague and a series of European destination, including Copenhagen from May 1.
