SEP 05, 2003 (newstodate): On October 27, Turku Airport will hand over a new cargo terminal for use by TNT Finland.
The new terminal is built by Kiinteist� Oy Turun lentorahti, a subsidiary of the Civil Aviation Administration.
-In the future, cargo traffic may well grow to form the focus of operations at Turku Airport. On the other hand, the extra freight traffic might stimulate passenger transport. By building the freight terminal TNT we are improving our range of services, says Antero Mero, Turku Airport manager.
Construction of the cargo terminal is part of the Pilot Turku project, designed to build and improve Turkus logistical capabilities.
