SEP 30, 2003 (newstodate): Tarom is planning a major modernization of its current aircraft fleet.
According to a company release, Tarom will order two new Boeing 737-700 aircraft "soon", and four Airbus A318 aircraft before the end of 2006.
Part of the investments come from a 75 million US dollar loan via ING Capital LLC in the USA.
Tarom's aircraft fleet currently comprises two Airbus A310, two Boeing 737-600, two Boeing 737-700, and seven ATR42-500 aircraft.
