SEP 29, 2003 (newstodate): SAS Cargo will approach Estonian Air to monitor potentials for a closer cooperation on air cargo.
-As SAS is taking a major stake in Estonian it is only natural for us to investigate the possibility of a closer cooperation on air cargo with Estonian Air, says Peter Groenlund, SAS Cargo CEO.
SAS Cargo currently operates a freighter service from Copenhagen Airport to Riga and Vilnius, but Tallinn has so far been served by belly capacity only.
-As border crossing is now much more easy and efficient, compared to only a few years ago, I would image that a combination of passenger aircraft belly capacity and the use of our current freighter services into the neighbouring Baltic countries could open new potentials, Groenlund says.
