SEP 29, 2003 (newstodate): Russian airline Regionalniye Avialinii is seeking a foreign, preferably US, partner to build up aviation services from Kemerovo Intl. Airport.
The prime target is to jointly develop a number of snort routes, but prospects also include medium and long-haul flights.
The short-haul flights were operated for a long time and were effective before the nineties but were mostly closed down due to Russian aviation long-term crisis right after privatization. Long distance flights to Moscow and to some cities of southern Russia have been operated by Russian air cariers including Sibir and Krasair airlines. Several factors say that such routes can be effective now, the company says.
