SEP 01, 2003 (newstodate): With effect from March 28, 2004, KLM is further tightening in on the Baltic and Nordic markets by adding roundtrip services to Riga, Latvia, and Kristiansand, Norway.
The new routes will be operated by KLM cityhopper, using Fokker 70 aircraft.
The Latvian capital, to be served twice daily, will be KLM's second destination in the Baltic states. KLM already serves Vilnius, Lithuania, from Amsterdam as a codeshare destination operated by Lithuanian Airlines.
In Norway, Kristiansand served once daily will be KLM's sixth destination in Norway after Bergen, Oslo, Sandefjord, Stavanger, and Trondheim.
