SEP 15, 2003 (newstodate): Estonian forwarding and logistics company, Balti Logistika Ltd is seeing business up and prospects for further growth after Estonia's membership of EU.
-We are growing by 30-40 percent annually, and will soon add two more staff to our current 10 employees, says Mait Marran, Balti Logistika
Sales Manager.
The company is agent for Exel in Estonia, and among the main customers is Estonian electronics company Elcoteq, sub-contractor to Erisson and Nokia.
-Once Estonia is included in the EU I would expect business to grow as more and more European companies will locate activities here in Estonia, Marran says.
Balti Logistika ranges among Estonia's top-three airfreight forwarders in turnover, with the volume of import shipments constituting some 60 percent, and exports 40 percent due to the import of components assembled into larger systems or finished electronics products for re-exportation.
