SEP 10, 2003 (newstodate): Ukrainian carrier Aerosvit has launched an aggressive pricing policy on its new route, from September 1, between Kiev and Kharhov.
The airline offers free return tickets to the effect that the 70 minutes air travel now costs the same as a six hours train trip.
AeroSvit has also launched four air routes between the cities of Ukraine. The airlines now maintains regular air service between the capital and Kharkov, Lvov, Odessa, Dnepropetrovsk, Ivano-Frankovsk, Donetsk, Simferopol and other regional centers of the country.
During the period January-July, Aerosvit carried 37.700 passengers on domestic flights. In the same period last year, the traffic volume on AeroSvit's domestic flights was 9.300 passengers. The airline started domestic flights only in June 2002.
