AUG 26, 2003 (newstodate): Danish low-cost operator Sterling may have to speed up its fleet expansion plans after the deal with charter tour company, Startour.
Sterling's fleet currenty comprises eight aircraft, including two Boeing 737-700 leased from Maersk Air.
Sterling had planned to grow to a fleet of 10 Boeing 737-800 aircraft before next summer, but the company may now need a total of 13 or 14 aircraft by then.
Sterling is traditionally an all-Boeing operator.
