AUG 11, 2003 (newstodate): For the first half-year, SAS Cargo recorded operating revenues up 13 percent on last H1, to SEK 1,467 mio.
This result was positively affected by the integration of Braathens Cargo with effect from July 1, 2002.
Cargo yields, however, decreased by five percent to SEK 2.22, which the company ascribes to the effects from currency fluctuations.
-Despite SAS Airlines' reduction in overall capacity, SAS Cargo had a positive tonnage development in H1, mainly on the intercontinental routes, the company says in a statement.
During H1, SAS Cargo transported a total of486,754 tonnes of air cargo, against 433,830 during H1 in 2002
