AUG 13, 2003 (newstodate): From August 18, Lufthansa Cargo will change cargo terminal at Copenhagen Airport.
-We have been offered the option of moving our freight handling from the current location in SAS Cargo's main terminal to the former Novia cargo terminal, now called SAS Cargo Terminal East, says Michael Schoop, Lufthansa Cargo manager Denmark & Iceland.
According to Schoop, the new location will provide more space and better service conditions for handling Lufthansa Cargo's shipments.
Incidentally, Lufthansa Cargo was one of the initial founders of the joint venture behind the Novia Cargo Terminal that was established to compete with SAS Cargo, but moved to SAS Cargo as part of the WOW partnership.
SAS Cargo tool over Novia's former terminal in January 2003 as the company ceased operations after eight months of uncertainty as to its future survival.
