AUG 26, 2003 (newstodate): British-owned Serco has landed a contract to provide fire-fighting and rescue services at Stockholm-Arlanda and Stockholm-Bromma airports.
Under the contract, Serco will provide the two airports with fire-fighters while the Swedish Civil Aviation Administration will assume a command role and be responsible for providing equipment. The contract is worth SEK 80 million.
The contract between the SCAA and Sercos Swedish subsidiary Serco S�kerhet AB covers the period May 2004 - December 31, 2006, with an option for a three-year extension.
The contract is valued at approximately SEK 80 million, and 64 fully trained fire-fighters will be employed at these airports.
