AUG 20, 2003 (newstodate): The Bangkok-based travel group, BlueSkyholiday Co has put its earlier announced plans for an own airline to operate between Europe and Thailand on hold.
-Rather than setting up an own charter airline, BlueSkyholiday will seek cooperation with a number of airlines for transportation of our guests to Thailand, Bali, Singapore, China, Australia, Malaysia, and Japan, the company says in a press release.
Among the airlines now targetted are SWISS Airlhes, Lufthansa, Air Australia, Singapore Airlines, Vietnam Airlines, and Malaysia Airlines.
During October, the company plans to open own office at Billund Airport to coordinate its activities in Denmark, Norway and Sweden.
BlueSkyholiday says the current situation in the international markets does not warrant the investments required to realise its original plans without jeopardizing the group's other activities.
