AUG 21, 2003 (newstodate): British Airways World Cargo has anounced its decision to add a third 747-400F aircraft, wet leased from Global Supply Systems.
The new services, taking effect from August 31, will expand BAWC's current network to six flights per week from London Stansted to Hong Kong, with four flights operating via Frankfurt.
To serve customers in the Indian market BAWC will provide four flights per week from Delhi, three per week from Mumbai and one per week from Chennai to London Stansted.
Serving USA, the new freighter will call at Atlanta three times per week and Houston once per week. This will make a significant difference to the airline's USA offering, as the return service will operate via London Stansted to Damman, Dubai, Bombay and Delhi once per week.
The new services will also boost the airline's existing freighter programme to Africa, including routes to Johannesburg via Cologne and from Johannesburg to London Stansted with various services calling at Nairobi, Vitoria and Cologne before returning to London Stansted.
