AUG 19, 2003 (newstodate): After the January-July results, Austrian is now "starting to recovering the losses in passenger demand seen in spring 2003", the airline says.
In July, the airline saw a drop in passenger volumes by six percent, year-on-year.
The previous month, the drop was still 9.5 percent, warranting a turn around in the trend for this year.
In July, Austrian managed to increase its RPK by 2.7 percent, while ASK was only 1.3 percent up, indicating an incrase in the average load factor.
