AUG 04, 2003 (newstodate): Completing Alitalia's plans for disposal of non-core assets, the airline has sold off 80 percent of its share capital in its fully-owned charter subsidiary, Eurofly, to Effe Luxembourg for 10.8 mill euro.
Besides the acquisition of the shares, Effe has also obtained three options for the purchase of a total of 13 Alitalia-owned MD-82 aircraft.
Eurofly currently operates seven aircraft.
