AUG 25, 2003 (newstodate): Latvian carrier, airBaltic plans to add one Boeing 737 and one Fokker 50 to its fleet this autumn.
-The fifth Fokker 50 will join us in October and will provide us with the extra capacity needed to increase frequencies on most airBlatic routes from this winter's programme, including notably Hamburg, Tallinn and Vilnius, says Vija Dzerve, airBaltic press manager.
-As for the Boeing 737, we have been looking for the right plane to be taken on a lease arrangement, but we have not yet settled any contract, she says.
According to Dzerve, the Boeing aircraft will be leased sometime this autumn, and will be used on the Riga-Copenhagen route.
