JUL 15, 2003 (newstodate): In June, Taiwan's total air cargo volumes were down on last year by 6.79 percent, to 76,900 tonnes.
Of the total volume, 32,400 tonnes was inbound air cargo, down 5.63 percent, and 44,500 tonnes, down 7.56 percent, was export cargo.
During January-June, import volumes totalled 175,700 tonnes, down by 5.05 percent. Export volumes totalled 280,200 tonnes, up by 0.73 percent over last year.
Express air cargo fared better in June, up by 17.39 percent in imports, and by 27.61 in exports.
For the period January-June, express import air cargo was up by 22.16 percent, and exports by 46.12 percent.
