JUL 14, 2003 (newstodate): As part of its new business plan, SWISS has announced a thorough re-design of its route network to take effect from the coming winter schedule.
The new network will comprise 71 destinations served by a fleet of 79 aircraft.
The European network will comprise 41 destinations, down from the current 56. On its
intercontinental routes, SWISS will continue to serve its 30 most important destinations, down from currently 40.
Among the European services to be axed are Kiev, Zagreb, Ljubljana, Prishtina, Sofia, Krakow and Skopje.
