JUL 16, 2003 (newstodate): Russian oil company Lukoil and Aeroflot have agreed on further expanding their cooperation.
On July 15, Vagit Alekperov, President of LUKOIL and Valery Okulov, General Director of Aeroflot, met to review the status on the cooperation between the companies, carried out within the framework of the General Agreement signed in September 1999. Under this agreement, the parties act as strategic partners as to jet fuel supplies to Aeroflot in Russia and abroad.
During the period December 1, 2002, to May 31, 2003, LUKOIL supplied about 130,000 tons of jet fuel to Aeroflot.
The parties agreed on a joint implementation of the program aimed at providing fuelling facilities at the airports of Russia and other regions where both companies operate.
