JUL 29, 2003 (newstodate): Copenhagen Airport is seeing its Far Eastern traffic returning to pre-SARS levels, and even increasing.
From August 22, SAS wil reinstate its daily services to Beijing, now served only every second day, and from August 30, the airline plans to increase its service to Bangkok and beyond to Singapore from currently four to six weekly flights.
From this autumn, Thai Airways Int´l will add one weekly departure from Copenhagen, bringing it to a total of six weekly flights. In contrast to SAS, Thai did not reduce its flight programme during the SARS crisis.
Singapore Airlines, which cut back from three to two weekly passenger flights, has also now activated its full weekly programme.
