JUL 17, 2003 (newstodate): By the turn of the month, Norwegian broker, Aircontact has been chartering aircraft for the deployment of Swedish forces and equipment for the UN mission in Entebbe.
Aircontact chartered three AN-124 and one Boeing 737-700 aircraft to take personnel and equipment from Oerebro to Entebbe.
Starting July 3, Aircontact has also chartered three AN-124 and one MD83 aircraft to fly Norwegian personnel and equipment from Oslo to Basra under a contract with the Norwegian Ministry of Defence as part of the mission in Iraq.
As a follow-up to this operation, Aircontact now operates a bi-weekly flight from Oslo to Basra, using a chartered AN-12 aircraft.
