JUN 05, 2003 (newstodate): SWISS has set up a project team, together with a consulting firm, to define recommendations to the Board as to the future size, composition and deployment of the aircraft fleet by the end of June.
After the Board's decision, implementation of the recommendations is expected to be enforced by November, 2003.
-A decision to reduce the network will have a severe immpact on the capacity available for sale by SWISS WorldCargo, the company says in a release.
-The impact, however, is essentially limited to the reduction in the intercont route network, as SWISS WorldCargo already makes limited use of aircraft on the European network, relying primarily on airline trucking to and from the longhaul lines.
