JUN 10, 2003 (newstodate): Slovak Airlines sees potentials for further development of its air cargo business, still at an early stage.
-Today, Slovak Airlines is primarily a passenger and full service airline, with air cargo currently constituting only a small part of our bussines, says Marek Revilak, Slovak airlines cargo manager.
Mr Revilak says, Slovak Airlines does handle air cargo already, but only on scheduled flights.
-At the moment we don´t have cargo aircraft, but we are planning to add cargo flights in 2004, and expect to lease a freighter aircraft by then, he says.
According to Mr Revilak, Slovak Airlines has already started cooperation with Latvian cargo company RAF-AVIA airlines that will play a significant role in a new business plan where air cargo will gain importance as a major ingredient.
