JUN 27, 2003 (newstodate): With effect from May 1, 2004, the British concern, SERCO has landed a contract worth SEK 80 million with Swedish CAA to provide fire-fighting and emergency services at Stockholm Arlanda and Bromma Airports.
Under the contract, SERCO is responsible for staff, while CAA provides equipment and command.
The contractexpires by December, 2006, with options for three years' extension.
SERCO already employs 500 people in Sweden, responsible for fire and emergency services at one of Sweden's nuclear power stations, and at the Swedish Army's helicopter squadron.
