JUN 12, 2003 (newstodate): On July 1, Icelandic ACMI-provider Islandsflug plans to take in its fourth A300-600F aircraft.
The new Airbus freighter will be placed with Air Hong Kong on an ACMI-contract.
Islandsflug took in its first A300-600F, flying with Air France Cargo, in October last year, adding the second, operated for DHL in Burssels, in December, and the third in January, 2003, operating for TNT in Liege.
The company also operates an A310-300F flying for TNT.
Islandsflug also operates nine pasenger aircraft, but is now focussing on the freighter market that has overtaken the market for passenger flights during the current downturn in the aviation business.
