JUN 04, 2003 (newstodate): Finnair Cargo will stick to its plan for re-opening the North Atlantic and UK freighter services after summer.
Some industry sources have aired the opinion that Finnair Cargo might not reinstall the Boeing 747 freighter services from New York via Gothenburg to Helsinki once weekly, and the once-weekly Airbus freighter service from the UK via Gothenburg to Helsinki. Both are currently not operating.
-We did stress that this was to be considered a suspension, not a termination of services, says Timo Riihimki, Finnair Cargo director marketing.
According to Mr. Rihiimki, services will be re-installed from September with unchanged frequencies.
