JUN 18, 2003 (newstodate): Lufthansa Cargo is seeing a strong increase in e-bookings.
-We are now getting an average of 15-20 percent of bookings via electronic channels, which include GF-X, our website, and via EDI by Traxon and other providers, says Andreas Otto, member of the Lufthansa Cargo Board.
-In Germany, some 30 percent of all bookings to Lufthansa Cargo are now electronic, in the US the percentage is five to 10 percent, while in Europe it is still below 10 percent, he says.
According to mr Otto, Norway ranks highest in Scandinavia due to succesful introduction of software to connect the forwarders.
The software solution is provided by Tradevision, that has a strong grip in the Nordic market.
