JUN 10, 2003 (newstodate): HayPost, the Armenian Post company, has lodged a complaint with the International Post Union to demand an end to what is considered "encroachment" upon international mail, sent to Armenia via neighboring Iran.
According to HayPost's commercial manager, the major part of international parcels and mail bound for Armenia arrives in Iran and is transferred from there to Armenia.
He said that many parcels are opened at an international mail processing center in Iranian Julfa, and that the content is often robbed.
