MAY 17, 2003 (newstodate): Since the start of the current summer programme, Romanian airline Tarom has suspended services from Bucharest to Copenhagen and Zurich.
Copenhagen and Zurich were both destinations for which flights never exceeded the minimum accepted limit of 65% occupancy to justify the expenses incurred, says Tarom.
Instead, Tarom has added direct flights to Sharm El Sheik, in Egypt and daily service on routes such as Timisoara-Milan-Timisoara, Constanta-Athens-Constanta and Constanta-Istanbul-Constanta.
Other destinations serviced daily by Tarom during the summer season include Athens, Brussels, Frankfurt, Istanbul, London, Madrid, Paris, Roma, Milan, Tel Aviv, Vienna, Budapest, Warsaw and Kishinev.
