MAY 26, 2003 (newstodate): From June 1, Russian airline Sibir Airlines plans to start the firstlow-fares service in Russia.
The test route will be Moscow-Nizhny Novgorod served daily with one of the airline's 23 Tu-154M aircraft.
-The new venture cartainly comprises elements of "low cost airline". But basically it is not rally "low-cost" like in Europe, as we do not offer e-tickets, we operate in a big and expensive airport, while we do offer free-of-charge transfer in the centre of Moscow and other elements of high service, says Evgeny Filyanin, Sibir Airlines PR officer.
