In Q1, Danish air cargo exports on IATA carriers to China increased significantly by 18.4 percent to a total of 1,316 tonnes. During the same period, IATA turnover to China increased by 19.4 percent to DKK 26.8 million indicating increasing air cargo rates.
Sweden generated a total of 1,418 tonnes of cargo for China, down 16.6 percent, while IATA-turnover for China was down by 13.6 percent to SEK 34.3 million, indicating falling rates.
Norwegian IATA-carried air cargo to China dropped by 18.8 percent to 2,388 tonnes, while turnover aggregated to NOK 41.3 million, down13.1 percent, incicating decreasing cargo rates.
In Denmark, the China-bound air cargo exports constituted 10.1 percent of the total IATA-freight. For Sweden the percentage was 6.8 percent, while it was 18.2 percent in Norway.
The IATA statistics do not, however, include airfreight taken on non-IATA carriers like chartered services or airfreight on integrator airlines.
