MAY 15, 2003 (newstodate): Air France Cargo performed well in last fiscal year ending March 31, 2003, increasing turnover by 2.1 percent to euro 1,479 million, compared to the preceeding fiscal year.
Air France Cargo's ATK rose by 5.3 percent, while RTK increased by 6.4, indicating a rise in load factors from 64.6 to 65.3 percent compared to the earlier fiscal year.
As other airlines, Air France Cargo saw unit revenues per ATK down, by 0.7 percent to 17,74 eurocent, but excluding currency effect from a weak US dollar yields were up by 4.3 percent.
Based on RTK, yields decreased by only 1.7 percent to 24.11 eurocent, rising by 3.3 percent excluding currency effects, thus indicating a sound development in underlying production costs.
