MAY 27, 2003 (newstodate): Air Atlanta is currently setting up a new subsidiary in the UK named Air Atlanta Europe.
The new company succesfully performed its test flight on May 12, and expects to receive its UK AOC on June 2.
Three Boeing 767 passenger aircraft with UK registrations have already been assigned to the new operator.
-We expect the new company to operate up to seven aircraft before the end of this year, says Erling Aspelund, Air Atlanta manager communications.
With a current total of eight owned and 19 dry-leased aircraft, Air Atlanta is a global provider to airlines of passenger and cargo aircraft on wet-lease and ACMI arrangements.
