APR 22, 2003 (newstodate): SAS Cargo has decided to close down its cargo handling terminal at Norrkoping, effective from June 30.
-Since October 27, 2002, SAS-owned airline Skyways has been operating on the Norrkoping routes on behalf of SAS, which ceased own operations from October 27, 2002, says Magnus Davidsson, acting cargo sales manager Sweden, based at Gothenburg.
-In addition to flight operations by smaller aircraft, the regional air cargo market has also changed driven by smaller volumes and structural adjustments as freight forwarders tend to consolidate shipments at either Stockholm Arlanda, or Skavsta Airport, or trucking cargo to Copenhagen Airport or continental hubs directly, says Davidsson.
