APR 22, 2003 (newstodate): Russia's GDP was up by 6.4 percent during this year's Q1, according to Russian media reports.
According to Prime-Minister Mikhail Kasianovt, Russia's GDP growth rate in Q1 is "a good life-enhancing factor" for the economy.
The Russian PM believes the results of the first quarter is proof of sustained economic growth in Russia. Particularly, the industrial production growth made up 6%. "It is the highest figure for the last three years", he said.
