APR 15, 2003 (newstodate): From May 1, Austrian GSA company Aircargo Service Network (ASN) is to be renamed "SKY-XS".
At the core of SKY-XS are former Frans Maas-owned companies that were taken over, and partly franchised companies named ASN by Ger Daniels who also owns and operates Aircargo Network Service, which does not, however, hold ownership in SKY.XS.
In addition to American Airlines, SKY-XS at Warsaw will also represent Alitalia Cargo and China Airlines in Poland while further airline customers are in the pipeline, according to Ger Daniels.
In Austria, SKY-XS will represent Icelandair and, from May 1st, the UK based carier EAF European Aviation Group operating frequent 747 passenger flights to Toronto and Miami.
Under the brand name ASN, cargo GSA activities on behalf of American Airlines are provided by ASN offices in the Czech Republik, Slovakia, Romania, Bulgaria, Serbia and Slovenia, but excluding Hungary.
