MAR 28, 2003 (newstodate): From May 1, Danish cargo GSA company, Weco AirCargo will provide GSA Services through two new subsidiaries in Hungary and the Czech Republic.
According to the company's managing director, Jens Heide, the two new companies in Budapest and Prague, respectively, have been contracted by launch customer SAS Cargo to provide cargo GSA sales in the two markets. Heide expects more airline clients to be added later.
Outside the Nordic region, Weco AirCargo is already established inPolandsince 2000, serving Cargolux, Finnair, Icelandair, LTU, Malev, SN Brussels Airlines, and Turkish Airlines.
-With the two new markets we have realised the first stage of our strategy for expansion into Central Europe. The next stage, yet to be decided, includes Bulgaria, Romania, and Slovenia, Heide says.
