MAR 14, 2003 (newstodate): German cargo GSA company, Transnautic Aero has been appointed by El Al to sell the airline's ex-Amsterdam freighter capacity in the German market.
The contract comprises cargo sales for Almaty and Tashkent, plus destinations in the Far East. Not comprised are ex-Amsterdam El Al cargo sales for Israel and the USA, handled by the airline directly.
-We send about 30-40 tonnes per month of German airfreight on El Al to Almaty, mainly shipments of car spares, while freight to Tashkent, operated also by Lufthansa Cargo, primarily comprises a large number of smaller shipments including equipment for the oil industry, PCs, machinery, says Hendrik Boeyng, Transnautic Aero general manager.
