MAR 27, 2003 (newstodate)Taiwan's China Airlines has now officially been granted permission by China's CAA to fly through mainland airspace en-route to and from Europe.
The first flight utilizing these new options was a flights returning this week from Amsterdam to Taiwan.
The proposed route from Taiwan will first pass over Thailand, then north above China before turning west across Asia to Europe.
Pending perlmissions from Kazakhstan, Belarus, Russia, Poland and Germany, flights will be undertaken as normal procedure from today, Thursday.
