MAR 19, 2003 (newstodate): New low-cost operator Iceland Expres that started operations this month on routes from Iceland to the UK and Denmark, respectively, has appointed cargo GSAs to sell and market the airline's cargo capacity.
Airline Management Group has been designated to serve as GSA in the UK market, while Kales Airline Services will provide services in Denmark. In the Icelandic home market, Jonar Transport represents the airline's cargo activities.
-Icelandic Express, operating Boeing 737 aircraft from Reykjavik to London Stansted, and Copenhagen Airport, accepts general and express cargo, excluding dangerous goods, says Hafsteinn Arnason, Manager Passenger Services, Stations and Cargo.
Arnason says the airline currently has no interline agreements with other airlines but can provide airline trucking services through its GSAs in the individual markets.
