MAR 26, 2003 (newstodate): Danish company GP&C Gl�obal Support has landed a "to-digit million" USD order from a Texas-based oil company for delivery and implementation of a complex air, sea and land communications system.
The system will allow the company to monitor all movevements by vehicles of any mode pertaining to any oil prospecting project around the world.
Initially, the system will be used for monitoring of nine projects on nine different locations.
-The system provides communication by either satellite or, whenever feasible, VHF as selected automatically by the system itself, says Finn Laursen, GP&C Global Support managing director.
Satellite communication is provided by Danish company Thrane & Thrane, while VHF communication has been developed by GP&C,which also provides software, hardware and systems integration.
