MAR 17, 2003 (newstodate): The Czech Airports Authority has announced the immediate introduction of 50 percent reduction in landing charges at Prague Ruzyne for commercial airlines in case of any war in the Gulf area.
The discounts will only apply for one month after their introduction, the Authority says in a statement.
Landing fees will also be reduced by 50 percent for airlines starting up new destinations to/from the Czech Republic. These reductions will apply for the first year.
These measurse aim at supporting air transport in the Czech Republic, the statement says.
