MAR 24, 2003 (newstodate): In 2003, eight percent of air cargo shipments requiring special handling will be goods requiring constant temperature management.
This year, cool airfreight will total 308,047 tonnes, growing by a spectacular 12.7 percent per year in 2003 and 2004, declining to 9.8 percent annually in the years until 2008 when total volume will have increased to 540,884 tonnes.
This year, cool airfreight will constitute 8.2 percent of air cargo shipments requiring special handling. This proportion will shrink to 7.8 percent in 2008.
