MAR 03, 2003 (newstodate): Facing sustained world economic depression, Air France has announced a basically unchanged over-all capacity in this summer's programme.
Thus, capacity has been adjusted to match market demands, resulting in cuts of frequencies on a range of North European routes including Stockholm, down from five to four daily flights.
As a result of Air France's code-share agremeent with Aeroflot, Air France will offer six daily flights Paris-Moscow, also adding a second daily frequency on flights to St. Petersburg. Air France will also expand its routes to East Europe, while details have still not been announced.
Following on the focus on Africa in 2002, this year will be focussed on Asia, introducing more frequencies to China with larger aircraft, Air France says.
