MAR 25, 2003 (newstodate): Air Atlanta Icelandic, which recently added another four Boeing 747 freighters, sees huge business potentials in the freighter business.
-We are aiming for a larger share of the cargo market and estimate to increase this part of our operations by between 35% to 50% per annum for the next 5 to 6 years. To meet this target we must add two to three aircraft each year after 2004, says Hafthor Hafsteinsson, President and CEO of Air Atlanta.
Air Atlanta Icelandic now operates 16 Boeing 747s, including the six new freighters, three Boeing 757s and eight Boeing 767s. The fleet comprises owned and leased aircraft.
