Copenhagen, FEB 08, 2003 (newstodate): The Lithuanian State Property Fund, in charge of the country's privatization programmes, is expected to announce the outcome of the sale of Lithuanian Airlines "shortly".
According to Lithuanian industrial sources, Finnair has backed out, leaving SAS as sole contender to take the 34 percent of the shares put up for sale.
It is understood, too, that the Lituanian government may eventually sell up to 66 percent of the shares in the airline.
