FEB 26, 2003 (newstodate): From March 1 2003, SAS Cargo will introduce scheduled truck services from Hong Kong to Guangzhou and Shenzhen.
The services are set up to connect with SAS Cargos freighter service from Gothenburg, the company says in a release.
The direct scheduled link from Hong Kong airport with sealed trucks provides fast and simplified crossing of the Chinese border. Customs clearance is performed when the cargo arrives in Guangzhou or Shenzhen. The trucks have the integrated GPS/e-seal system and have proven to be an efficient, secure logistics solution to southern China.
The provider of the SuperLink China Direct truck service is Hong Kong Air Cargo Industry Services Ltd. (Hacis), a subsidiary of Hong Kong Air Cargo Terminals Ltd.
