FEB 25, 2003 (newstodate): SAS Cargo has announced an immediate embargo of airfreight on all Air Botnia-operated flights.
According to a SAS Cargo spokesman, the embargo is due to "operational reasons", but no further details are available.
In 1998, Air Botnia became a 100 percent SAS-owned subsidiary. In March 1999 a decision was made to change the airline's network strategy. From being purely a production carrier, flying only domestic routes, the airline was developed into a regional carrier, feeding traffic between points in Southern and Western Finland and primarily the SAS Group hubs Stockholm, Copenhagen and Oslo.
