FEB 24, 2003 (newstodate): Pristina Airport, in Kosovo, is planning for a major expansion of its air cargo business, the airport's director says.
-Our new 2,500 sq.m. cargo terminal was completed in December, 2002, with a daily capacity at 100 tonnes, Pristina Airport manager, Adem Gashi, says.
According to Gashi, Pristina Airport is now evaluating offers from international companies in response to a public tender for cargo handling equipment and facilities.
No cargo manager has yet been named by the airport, but this will follow "very soon", Gashi says.
